Horses Make Miracles goals and objectives are to provide equine assisted activities and therapy to individuals of all ages who live with a wide range of physical, mental, emotional and cognitive special needs in a high quality, safe and professional operating center. We are a 501c3 non-profit charity based in Boulder County, Colorado and strive to encourage participants, interns and volunteers and provide high quality Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy programs.
Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy is widely recognized today as a highly effective therapeutic technique for participants of all ages. Studies have proven that our variety of programs greatly enhances and even surpasses the benefits of traditional physical and behavioral therapy for many conditions.
We have a variety of successful programs as well as an internship and mentoring program incorporating ethical training experiences in association with PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship). Our Certified Instructors offer specialized classes for individuals of all ages with emotional, physical, cognitive, and mental challenges as well as programs that incorporate other equine assisted therapeutic techniques.
Life changing progress from guided interaction with horses improves communication skills, self-esteem, self-awareness as well as confidence and problem-solving abilities.
Originally founded in 2004 to facilitate healing for individuals with traumatic brain injuries, we reorganized in 2014 and are dedicated to equine assisted activities and therapy programs. These programs facilitate emotional and physical changes in children, adolescents and adults from a wide range of socio economic and cultural backgrounds; many having tried other traditional therapies without success. Annually, 140-180 clients are served and benefit from our weekly horsemanship lesson programs, workshops and group classes.
